This paper cut was created for All Hallows’ Eve. It features a child missing a few limbs—perhaps lending it a touch of Edward Gorey’s Gashlycrumb Tinies feel.
The first version was cut from black and grey cardstock and mounted on red. I used the leftover negative pieces from that cut to assemble a second version, which was mounted on cream cardstock.
This cut was based on a photo I took of a friend’s lizard. It was cut from black cardstock and mounted on neon orange.
