Cut #59 Celtic Knot Horses

This paper cut was created from a photograph of a cast metal artwork, roughly three inches in diameter. Extracting the image took more time than usual due to the level of detail in the original piece.

The final design is cut from black cardstock and mounted on lily cardstock.

Cut #55 Bonefish World

Today’s cut is the result of experimenting with an Inkscape tutorial on path interpolation and path unions.

It’s a bonefish combined with a circular, globe-like shape. Cut from black cardstock and mounted on orange.

Cut #54 George Johnston

This paper cut was inspired by my father, George Johnston—a Canadian poet, translator, and Professor of English. The piece is cut from black cardstock and mounted on lily.

A short biography of George Johnston can be found on Wikipedia: George Benson Johnston
