Cut #65 Christmas Circle

This piece began as a hand-cut design, which I later turned into a die cut. I added an outer circle and repaired a few cropped sections from the original.

It's cut from white cardstock and mounted on green. I’ve also included photos of the original hand-cut version.

The design was inspired by a book of paper cuts by Hans Christian Andersen.

This design is based on an image recently released by the British Library under an open Creative Commons license. It took me about four hours to produce this cut from the original illustration.

The piece is cut from black cardstock and mounted on azure. I've included the source image below for comparison.
